The bathroom had been renovated and was clean. The whole room was very clean even if the furniture is a tad outdated. We had a 3rd floor ocean view room. Be advised there are apartment buildings and houses between the hotel and the view of the ocean. The pool area/breakfast area is very charming. Customer service was really good from everyone, including the breakfast staff.

There are 3 things I am particular about in a hotel, and this one was great for all 3. The first is cleanliness. I don't like finding old food, food wrappers, or other things in a hotel room upon checking in. This had none of those. It was pretty darn clean and didn't have a smell at all.

The second is quietness. I was right across the hall from the elevators and had no issues sleeping. I heard nothing from the other rooms but the plumbing in the bathroom, which is hard to avoid in any hotel. I only heard it while I was IN the bathroom.

The third (which also helps with the noise level) is the air conditioning/fan. The fan/heat/A/C unit in this room ran constantly if you turned it on, and could be turned on low or high. I ran it on high all night for some great white noise, which drowned out any outside noises and I slept like a log, as did my 3-year-old daughter.

For the money, this hotel is a great value in the Del Mar area.

We walked to restuarants. Great restaurants near by. Loved the pool and jaccuzi. Would definitely stay there again if traveling to San Diego!

Great value in Del Mar
Nice hotel with attentive staff. Nothing fancy but a great location and one of the best sunset views I have ever had.

My husband was in Scripps having an angiogram, which resulted in 3 stents being inserted. I was blessed to be able to stay at the Del Mar Inn. The staff is wonderful - kind - friendly. The room was perfect with an ocean view. Love the little balcony. Everything is so clean. Thank you for making my stay so pleasant. The breakfast is just right & the hostess so pleasant & helpful. We had a great stay,

My wife and I want to tell you that we enjoyed our stay last week, August 2-6 and found the Inn to have the right blend of elegance, hominess and a very friendly staff. We loved the location, close enough to everything without being on top of them.
In addition to the room being great, I loved the library, a nice place to find a book if you forgot or just finished one.
We'll definitely be back.

My sister in law picked this hotel,and i was very pleased when we got there the hotel is truely beautiful, request third floor for ocean view,you can barely see it from the second. A little out of the way for attractions but would stay here again, also loved the balcony.Very friendly hotel staff.

My friend Sharon and I stayed here in August of last year and were absolutely
delighted with everything. The personnel was warm and friendly, the room was tastefully decorated , "warm" and clean and the location is superb Walking distance to the lovely shops, the beach and the hotel surroundings outside were comfortable and relaxing. We are planning to return this year and look forward to our stay at this lovely DelMar Inn.

I could not find a way to e-mail this, but I wanted to let the Hotel GM know what a fantastic front desk clerk he has in Brett. I am planning a week long vacation with my niece and am looking for the best "deal" out there. I thought that I had found it when I came across your ad in the San Diego planning guide. After visiting the website I wanted to get a "feel" for the hotel and was pleasantly suprise to find the most helpful front desk staff I have every talked to (and I worked as a travel agent to 5 years!). He took time fully explaining all the policies, hotel infromation, ammendities and even local beach infromation. Again, I was completely sold on another hotel but after writing this I am calling to make my reservations. The deciding factor Brett. Knowing full well if I recieve such amazing personal service over the phone - I will be in great hands for my entire week long stay. THANK YOU BRETT!!! I can't wait for our vacation and hopefully I will get to meet you as well.

The key here is value. For the price you can't get closer to the beach and the lovely village of Del Mar while staying in nice accomodations. I have stayed here six times for business and appreciate it every time. You can walk to great restaurants and the beach from your hotel room.

I had a great time at this hotel. The staff were helpful and prompt and it was just a short stroll to the sand. The ocean view was worth it, its got to be the best value in Del Mar.
